TPCC Special Intensive Revision Training Camp Held in Jagtial: Congress Leaders Call for Protection of Every Genuine Vote

Jagtial, Telangana:- Following the directions of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), the Jagtial District Congress Committee organized a large-scale Awareness and Training Camp for Booth Level Agents (BLAs) on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls. The camp aimed to equip party workers with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure that every eligible citizen is included in the voter list and that electoral rolls remain accurate, transparent, and free from irregularities.

The program was attended by Jagtial MLA Dr. Sanjay Kumar, TPCC Observer and Master Trainer D. Vinod Kumar, and District Congress Committee President Gadangi Nandaiah, who guided the participants on the importance of voter verification and electoral transparency.

Addressing the gathering, TPCC Master Trainer D. Vinod Kumar stated that protecting the voting rights of every genuine citizen is one of the most important responsibilities of Congress workers. He explained the procedures involved in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and trained BLAs on how to verify voter lists, identify errors, and submit corrections through the Election Commission's prescribed process.

Vinod Kumar emphasized that ensuring free, fair, and transparent elections is one of the key agendas of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He said Rahul Gandhi has consistently raised concerns about protecting democratic institutions and safeguarding the voting rights of citizens. The SIR campaign is part of that broader mission to ensure that no genuine voter is denied the right to vote and that electoral rolls accurately reflect the actual electorate.

He further explained that names of eligible voters must be protected, while cases involving deceased individuals whose names still appear on voter lists should be reported to the Election Commission for necessary action. Similarly, voter records must be verified carefully to identify individuals who have permanently settled abroad or are otherwise ineligible, ensuring that electoral rolls remain accurate and trustworthy.

Speaking on the occasion, leaders noted that the training camp was organized to prevent any possibility of vote manipulation or irregularities. Booth Level Agents were urged to remain vigilant and actively participate in the verification process so that every legitimate vote is protected and democracy is strengthened at the grassroots level.

A special highlight of the event was the gesture by NRI TPCC Convener Chand Pasha, who presented the renowned book “Gulf Gayam” along with a biography book to TPCC Coordinator and Master Trainer D. Vinod Kumar as a mark of respect and appreciation. Chand Pasha warmly welcomed Vinod Kumar and appreciated his efforts in training Assembly-level Congress workers on voter awareness and electoral roll verification.

Chand Pasha stated that the Congress Party is committed to ensuring that every eligible citizen receives the opportunity to participate in the democratic process. He emphasized that the voter verification campaign reflects Rahul Gandhi’s vision of strengthening democracy through transparent and accountable electoral systems.

The event was attended by Municipal Chairperson Sameendla Vani Srinivas, AMC Chairman Gaddam Narayana Reddy, Former Municipal Chairman Giri Nagabhushanam, Aduvala Jyothi Laxman, Congress Seva Dal State Secretary Mukesh Khanna, NRI TPCC Convener Chand Pasha, and senior leaders including Kotha Mohan, Gattu Satish, Anumalla Krishna Hari, Ravinder Rao, along with Booth Level Agents of Jagtial Constituency, senior Congress leaders, party activists, and a large number of party workers.

The program concluded with a collective pledge by Congress leaders and BLAs to work tirelessly for electoral transparency, voter awareness, and the protection of democratic values. Leaders expressed confidence that the training would help strengthen the voter verification process and ensure that every genuine vote is protected, a goal that aligns closely with Rahul Gandhi’s vision for a stronger and more transparent democracy in India.
